Poem of the Groom

Everything I have is yours
Every beautiful thing I see will remind me of you
No distance between us will seem far
Or time apart too long
Because our souls are bound
With the bright colourful light of our love
And the only thing that will be between us
Is a space filled with love.

I will share with you my light and dark
I will accept you, as you, in your entirety.
I will weather your dark clouds
Remind you that the sun shines behind them
And then rejoice in your light
I will be available to you at any moment
If you need me I will be there
Nothing will be more important to me than you.

There will be no secrets between us
I will share in your dreams and your dreamy ways
I will be part of you
I will rejoice in your gentleness, your innocence,
Your love, your peace, your positivity,
Your smile, your playfulness, your flirtatiousness,
Your wide open eyed wonder at the world.

I will get up every morning and stretch before you
Lay my self at your feet
Ask what can I do to please you
And tell you that I love you.

I will grow with you
Like two trees in the forest
Together we will weather storms,
Soak up the rain and shine in the sun.
I will live in the moment, rejoicing in our love
And dream with you of a future
Imagining the blessings that will come.
I will never forget that love bought us together.
And that love binds us together
From this dawn
Till the sunset
I will give you my love.
