Poem of the Bride

Beloved,

As I enter this doorway with you,
To venture this newborn life;
This untouched, playful, heartfelt…moment,
I give myself to you, beloved
In all my wild, radiant splendor
A woman, a girl, a being of light
Tears, joys and dreams
Visions, discoveries, and leaps
Spirit, body and mind
A mirror for you to see
What is possible,
And filter away those other voices
That keep you from what is true.
Beloved of my heart, I will give you
Wild fires to warm you by,
Deep, strong rivers to cross,
Endless skies to soar into,
And hidden caves to explore.
And I will not stop there!
For my love has traveled
Far and wide to find you
And with its mysterious arms
It will embrace you, always;

Friend,

As I share with you my mind and imaginings,
To venture this wondrous time;
This untouched, playful, heartfelt…moment,
I give you my insights, my wisdom,
And also practical sense of the earth
For you to use on your path;
Like a beacon of light it will guide
And help keep your course.
Friend, I will give you poetry,
To awaken your flowering heart;
I will write you stories
To rivet and stir your mind and imagination.
And I will hold your hand, always
As we travel together, through worlds,
On long, winding roads not always easily walked,
I will teach you about opening up
For friends we meet, new or old,
In need of our loving, aspiring presence
So that they may see and feel with the heart
That separation, time and space are illusions
Mankind created to feel important;
That we are all the co-creators of this world
Responsible for every breath we take,
Intertwined in a never-ending whole,
That within lies the gift for love and joy.
And I can’t stop here, sweet friend,
No, that simply wouldn’t do
When I have so much more to offer you;

As I open myself to you,
To venture this newfound love;
This untouched, playful, heartfelt… moment,
I give you my heart, my longings
My innermost dreams of amore and beauty.
Lover, I will plant you a sacred garden
With uplifting fragrances, colors, and feels
Where you will always be safe to come
Whatever state you find yourself in.
On dreary, dusty Sundays,
I will pick you wild flowers from the field
And with their petals, touch you ever so gently.
I will feed you chocolate ice cream
On warm summer days,
And in winter, in hot steaming bathtubs.
I will give you thousands of kisses,
Bringing to life every body part of you
Until you soften into me.
And I will dance for you, your beautiful Shakti,
Dressed in tempestuous garments,
To lift your world to ever higher places;
When all else seems gray,
I will dance with you,
Whirling like a wild wind
Bringing you to euphoric unison
Over and over.
But I will not stop there,
No, I have so much more to give, loved one
Now that we are finally here,
You and I;

As I build this house with you,
To venture upon this sacred space;
This untouched, playful, heartfelt…moment,
I give you the dark and light of my being
So that you will always know day from night
I give you challenges and laughter,
Wildness and tears,
Sweetness and nourishment,
To enrich every breath you take.
I will give you walks
Through forest and onto beaches
Where the water kisses land softly.
I will cook you enticing meals,
I will give you seeds to grow your garden,
I will give you new friends and family,
And work projects with me; so to expand your horizons.
I will give you space to be who you are,
Let you do what is true to you,
And if you step over line,
I will remind you because I support you,

I bring you the mirror to growth
Always aware of you and I
Two beings of light and love,
Every moment, every breath.
And I will not stop there, much-loved partner,
No, there is so much to give,
Because my bond to you is unwavering;
